Golden Eagles from Photohide

characteristics: Our target is a photohide hidden in a very neat nature in Veľká Fatra mountains, one of the largest and highest core mountain ranges in Slovakia. This land was declared a National Park in 2002, so far becoming Slovakia’s youngest one.

target species: Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos)

other species observed from particular photohide: Common buzzard (Buteo buteo), Common raven (Corvus corax), Northern goshawk (Accipiter gentilis)

other species living in the area: red deer (Cervus elaphus), squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris), roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), wild boar (Sus scrofa), red fox (Vulpes vulpes), wolf (Canis lupus), lynx (Lynx lynx), badger (Meles meles), brown bear (Ursus arctos), Ural owl (Strix uralensis)

duration of observation: 4 hours, for each additional hour an extra charge

Arrival at the observation point depends on the behavior of the eagles being monitored.

Terrain difficulty: from the parking lot we will walk about 15 minutes on foot on a mild terrain

Important notices and conditions on visiting: Visitors participate on golden eagle photohide watching at their own risk. Touristic travel insurance is not included in the price of the product. Eagles are to be seen/photographed ONLY from the photohide, avoiding a direct contact with an animal. We recommend visitors to bring warm clothes and a sleeping bag. The presence of trained guide is not necessary.

This observation takes place with the permission of landowners.
