The fourth of our popular bicycle birdwatching trips in the Bratislava surroundings. Come with us to ride through the new bicycle bridge to Austria and get to know birds living along the Morava River. We will visit Marchegg – the Stork village, near which lies the biggest colony of White Storks on trees  in Central Europe. It consists of approximately 50 nests.

Besides White Storks we can register Greylag Geese, Black Storks, Grey Herons, Red Kites, Black Kites, White-tailed Eagles, Imperial Eagles, Common Kestrels, Turtle Doves, European Bee-eaters, Black Woodpeckers, Red-backed Shrikes, Golden Orioles, Skylarks, Icterine Warblers, Blackcaps, Nightingales, European Serins, Corn Buntings and much more.

Meeting place and time: 9:00 am, Devínska Nová Ves, at the public bus stop Na Hriadkach

Trip length: 5 – 6 hours (9:00 am – 3:00 pm)

Route and terrain: easy, terrain plain, length approx. 27 km, a short section will lead on a bicycle path at the edge of main, low frequented road.

Participant fee optional. We provide binoculars, bird identification guide and a spotting scope to the participants.
