bird walk V10

Winter time is not an easy season for birds. Many of them fly away to the south. But many of them stay here during the whole winter. Among those are tits, Greenfinches, Hawfinches, Nuthatches, woodpeckers, Jays and others. There are some species, that even come from the north to winter here, due to milder weather conditions. An advantage of winter birdwatching is, that you can attract birds to feeders. Another advantage is, that trees does not have leaves, so you can spot them easily. Our walk will start at the bird hide at Partizánska lúka, will lead us along the Vydrica creek, from where we will go up the hill to Koliba and will return back along the tourist path. Here we will visit the hide once again to check for any new birds species. We will observe birds of broadleaved forests, as well as some species bound to conifers, which grow here in small groups.

Participants fee optional. We provide binoculars, bird identification guide and a spotting scope to the participants.
