Brown Bears from Photohide

Due to fact that the photo of brown bears from photohide is not done as we have been declared, it is no more in our offer. Nature conservation and natural tourism is our priority.

Brown bear (Ursus arctos) is undoubtedly considered a king of our forests. This omnivore beast lives usually solitary life. Brown bear is active mainly during early mornings and late afternoons, but during mating season, bears tend to be active throughout the whole day. Although bears are formidably strong and may be dangerous, we offer you a possibility to see/photograph them from a safety of photohide. If we stay quiet and will not interrupt them, we may get to know some of their daily habit secrets.

characteristics: Our target is a photohide hidden in a very neat nature in Veľká Fatra mountains, one of the largest and highest core mountain ranges in Slovakia. This land was declared a National Park in 2002, so far becoming Slovakia’s youngest one.

other species observed from particular photohide: red fox (Vulpes vulpes), wolf (Canis lupus), lynx (Lynx lynx), badger (Meles meles), golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), Ural Owl (Strix uralensis)

other species living in the area: red reer (Cervus elaphus), squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris), roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), wild boar (Sus scrofa), European pine marten (Martes martes), Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo), Common Raven (Corvus corax)

duration of observation: cca 21 hrs., arrival time at approx. 12:00 – 13:00, departure between 9:00 – 10:00 the next day (arrival and departure time may differ in different seasons of the year)

number of visitors: 3 (max 4) + guide; photohide comfortably accommodates 4 people (3 + guide), if interested, maximum capacity is 5 persons (4 + guide), but comfort obviously limited

Terrain difficulty: from the parking lot we will walk about 15 minutes on foot on a mild terrain

Important notices and conditions on visiting: Visitors participate on brown bear photohide watching at their own risk. Touristic travel insurance is not included in the price of the product. Bears are to be seen/photographed ONLY from the photohide, avoiding a direct contact with an animal. We recommend visitors to bring warm clothes and a sleeping bag. The presence of trained guide is necessary for visitors’ safety and wildlife protection.

This observation takes place with the permission of landowners.

Price includes: english speaking guide throughout the whole bear observation, transfer to the vincinity of photohide, maximum from city Vrútky
